Looks like all 3 pci-e slots are x16 electrically!? This must be the first time I saw this on a mainstream plattform. Most MB is x16-x8-x4 eletrically. This means that you can use any slot for full x16 link for the gpu 🙂

Still not ideal as they would have to run through the chipset.

RTX IO need PCI-E 4.0 to work with no bottleneck, too many "4.0" tecnology to spent on "3.0" MOBO

Thats a rumour, not yet confirmed.

I think noctua nh-d15/s will not fit here...

One deal breaker. PCI-e 3.0. Makes this board of any chipset a hard pass for me.

Late to the party is hardpass for me. That's why I ended up with Apex X, Apex Xi, Apex Xii and Apex x299. I like to play with new hardware. Evga releases MB when the hardware (cpu's) are old and almost eol 😛

No backplate?

No backplate?
No need for a backplate when overclocking on a benchtable. We don't need something unuseful on a overclockingboard. Asus Apex never had a backplate, and still one of the best performing MB out there.

So mb rigidity is 'unuseful' then ok? For the price this'll be i want a backplate. EVGA MBs are always very skimpy.

This is for Ln2 overclocking, not for the average Joe...

if you want rigidity, nzxt makes a full cover motherboard that hides the entire pcb, perfect for your game needs. you dont need an ln2 board for everyday web browsing.

Wake me when eVGA starts making AMD boards.
Like why is that? Is there a sanctioned deal between EVGA and Intel??
